Earliest political memory of the day #116

I remember my parents talking about politics over dinner as a child, but the first political event I really engaged in was the fall of the Berlin Wall (I was 13). Our German teacher and we talked about it lots in lessons. She was so happy because her grandmother came from Berlin and was going to be able to see some of her relatives for the first time in 40 years.

Any thoughts?
